The painting captures a beautiful panorama of the High Tatras from the meadows near the village of Mengusovce. This place fascinated me as early as childhood, when I discovered a similar view in a photograph in a book about the High Tatras. For many years, I did not know where the photograph had been taken, until in 2021 I set out to find the place and eventually found it. It was a special experience to stand there one summer morning; in the exact place I had previously admired only in a photograph. When creating the painting, I added the path and the trees in the foreground to the composition. The path disappearing into the distance seems to invite a person to enter the landscape and, for a moment, immerse himself in the beauty and silence of this place beneath the Tatras.
