The painting portrays Simon Khorolskiy, a Christian singer and musician of Russian origin, currently living and composing in the USA. Through his work, Simon glorifies God and brings peace and joy to people’s souls. His music is often accompanied by images of the natural beauty of the American Northwest, which enhance its spiritual atmosphere. I tried to capture the portrait in a similar spirit – with natural light and a peaceful atmosphere reflecting the connection between music, faith and nature. I enjoy listening to his music, and it was the connection between music, faith and nature that inspired me to paint this portrait.
