The painting portrays Slovak singer Simona Magušinová. Besides music and playing the guitar, she has a close connection to the mountains and nature. She sees singing and songwriting not only as a passion, but also as a calling and a gift from God. I especially enjoy her music for the peace it brings to the soul. Her connection to nature, which is also an important part of my own work, inspired me to paint her portrait as well. It is also my first portrait and my first oil painting, which is why it holds a special place in my work.
